BOLE STEPHEN

Stephen Bole is a Masters graduate fellow at ILRI Uganda under Animal and Human Health, and One Health Center in Africa. After my Undergraduate degree at College of Veterinary Medicine-Makerere University, i enrolled for a Master's degree of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (track of field epidemiology and clinical diagnostics) where i am a finalist student at Makerere university.

Before joining ILRI, i voluntered as a Research assistant at the Central Diagnostic Laboratory as a research assistant (Microbiology Unit, parasitology, serology and immunology, molecular biology, histotechnology and clinical chemistry ) under Joint National Animal Disease Diagnostic Center at Makerere Universiy College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity.

I am currently working on ''Determining the epidemiological status of Porcine cysticercosis in Northern Uganda'' which is known to contribute to most epileptic cases among humans in Uganda, under the  ''Value chain control of Taenia solium in northern Uganda project'' funded by BMZ-German through Ohreca, under supervision of Dr. Lian Thomas (Lecture Public health-Liverpool), Prof. Clovice Kankya (Lecurer Vet-Public health Makerere) and Dr. Ngwili Nicholas. 

 I am passionate about research, outgoing, willing to learn new skills, ideas to enable me be at the frontline of prevention, control and eradication of emerging public health threats and ensure sustainable livelihoods from the animal source protein and economic growth from livestock through the one health approach. I am looking forward to further my studies and open to any PhD opportunities.
